Chapter 1
SHE CALLED IT DISCIPLINE… UNTIL DAD SAW HIS DAUGHTER LOCKED INSIDE THE DOGHOUSE.
Not playing outside.
Not hiding.
Crying like she was terrified.
When her father walked into the garden, he froze.
His daughter was trapped inside the small doghouse.
Her mother was standing beside it.
He dropped his office bag onto the grass.
He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Then he heard his daughter crying:
“Daddy! Daddy!”
His face changed instantly.
He rushed toward the doghouse and shouted at the mother:
“What did you do?!”
He opened the door and pulled his frightened daughter into his arms.
She held onto him tightly and cried.
He whispered:
“I’m here. You’re safe now.”
Then the golden gate opened.
Police officers walked into the garden.
The father pointed toward the doghouse and told them exactly what happened.
One officer stepped toward the mother and said:
May you like
“Ma’am, you are under arrest.”
This time, she couldn’t call it discipline anymore.
