Chapter 1
“Dad... open that wall!”
Six-year-old Lily was fighting to get back into the storage room—
while Vanessa desperately dragged her away.
Then Vanessa covered Lily’s mouth.
BIG MISTAKE.
Daniel walked in and saw EVERYTHING.
He immediately pulled Lily behind him.
SLAP!
“Don’t touch her.”
Lily pointed toward the huge wardrobe.
“Behind that wall!”
Daniel shoved it away—
and Vanessa’s confidence VANISHED.
Something had been concealed behind it.
Daniel grabbed a heavy hammer and struck the wall THREE TIMES.
CRACK!
The plaster gave way.
Behind it—
a narrow METAL DOOR.
Daniel stared at Vanessa.
“What is this?”
She couldn’t answer.
Then the room went silent.
THUD.
THUD.
